We've been here a month now (Assynt, Sutherland), and are lucky enough to be here in the coldest spring since the dawn of time, or even earlier. Now its the first week of June and we're still not in double figures in Centigrade. The primroses are still in full flower and bluebells just out. I know its cold down south too, but this is ridiculous!
Anyway, the photo is of me (left) and my mate John on top of Ben More Assynt (3274 feet) on May 14th, the only real proper sunny day; tremendous view!
It was John who took the photo of me looking soggy and miserable on Jura, when we climbed 2575 feet and couldn't see anything!
